Corporate governance

The Moelven group comprises a total of 50 production companies in a number of product areas. The group has chosen a decentralised organisational structure in order to ensure that decisions are taken by managers who are close to their own market and who have an insight into local issues and needs.

Each individual company is legally responsible for its own operations and has an independent profit responsibility.

The group has established general guidelines in areas where it is important to safeguard commercial considerations, external requirements and the group's social responsibilities, and companies are followed up through the group's internal reporting, internal audits, routines for risk management and the internal governance structure.

Moelven governs the group in accordance with the Code of Practice for Corporate Governance, issued by the Norwegian Corporate Governance Board (NUES).
